Beverage plants typically treat municipal water or well water prior to use. One common treatment method is Granular Activated Carbon (GAC), which removes chemicals such as chlorine. GAC media is also a bacteria reservoir. One study found that GAC media is a significant reservoir for fecal coliform bacteria. If GAC treatment is in the wrong part of the process, these bacteria will wind up in your product. Don’t throw out your GAC tower, just relocate it and re-stream the process.

Our engineers can re-design your process water treatment line to reduce contamination risk without the use of chemicals such as ozone or chlorine. We take a “whole process” approach to process engineering that keeps the quality of the product front and center. We also offer process performance guarantees. Contact us to learn more.
